Burnout and neurodiversity

Burn-out and neurodiversity: a better understanding for better support

ADHD, autism, dyslexia, giftedness, dyspraxia… Neurodivergent people often navigate a world designed for brains that work differently. They develop remarkable coping strategies — but those strategies come at a cost, and that cost can lead to burnout.

A burnout that may resemble "classic" burnout, but has its own mechanisms, its own signals, and calls for specific responses.

This module gives you the keys to understanding neurodiversity, identifying the vulnerability factors specific to these profiles, and offering truly adapted support — both in prevention and recovery.

OBJECTIVES

By the end of this module, you will be able to:

Understand the concept of neurodiversity and the different profiles

Identify why neurodivergent people are more vulnerable to burnout

Discover strategies to prevent, recognise and support burnout
